This beautifully made organic cotton blanket is a little heavier than expected, though i realized that it is one of the reasons why i like it. It’s heavier because the weave is dense. For tropical climates it will be too warm in summer, but just right in winter. In summer it easily doubles up as a beautiful bedspread. The colors are true to what the pic shows. ‘Moonstruck’ is like a soft pearl grey, but not in your face grey, if that makes sense. Haven’t received the blue one yet and am looking forward to it. Highly recommend this blanket!Seems like it will lastbut definitely not a lightweight summer blanket.Very dense love color and qualityThe first Moonstruck blanket I rec'd looked used, it appeared to have been washed several times especially when I compared it to the Blue blanket I ordered at the same time and the Moonstruck blanket was softer and 3-4 inches smaller than the new Blue. I returned the Moonstruck blanket and received a replacement which was softer than the Blue one but I compared it to the, now washed, Blue blanket and the Moonstruck was inches larger than the (washed) Blue. I decided that maybe the grey Moonstruck material is just softer than the Blue, which I prefer,so I decided to keep it. I like the blankets but wish the Blue one was at least as soft as the Moonstruck grey one.Not only is it really pretty, it's very soft and well made. NO snags or otherwise stitching problems, so far. I bought the orange and just love it. I had a hard time finding organic blankets so this is a gem. HIGHLY recommend this blanket. Two years later and this is THE BEST blanket ever. Solid, warm, no snags, and holding up really well. VERY well made. A refreshing change to all the crap being sold by others out there. LOVE that it's organic and the dyes are not toxic too. The orange is just so pretty and fun.Smell was not strong, but had a bit of an inky smell to it, so I laundered the blanket. The twin size apricot blanket was the color I expected & a nice looking blanket. It held it's color nicely after washing, but it 'piled' or whatever you call it when material gets those little sticky up textured things. Nice blanket, but after 1 laundering, it didn't look or feel quite as new as when I received it. So, I'll see how it holds up over time. I don't know that this issue will affect it's durability or anything. It's just... when you spend extra, you tend to expect it to look nice for awhile. A bit disappointed, but I'll keep it because I wanted organic cotton & now I have it. I won't be purchasing another of this brand, however, until I see if this one continues to get worse or not.The color has a definite amount of green/teal in it. It's beautiful, but it is not light blue. It's like a faded sea foam green blue. Also it covers the king size bed we have, but it only falls a few inches on either side. We bought it hoping it would be a comforter for the summer (we live in Louisiana), and it works, but I wish it was longer on the sides. This is a really heavy weight cotton blanket that breathes really well despite it being so dense. It’s not super soft, but it seems like it gets softer with time and usage. It reminds me of the cotton blankets my grandparents had that were 50 years old and were cozy yet still had that crisp durable feeling that is hard to find anymore. This blanket probably won’t age it’ll just get better. If used as leather couch protection for a large dog (up to Great Dane size) you wouldn’t have to worry about a nail getting through and puncturing the leather. The attributes amazon had me rank aren't at all what I appreciate about this blanket. The blanket is fairly rigid and heavy but I appreciate both of these things. It doesn't have any of the traits of synthetic blankets that I was trying to avoid. It's rigid enough for me thin think it might not contour to your body enough to be warm if you were to sit on the couch with it (and little else) in a cold room. However, as a top layer over my comforter to add warmth and weight it's pretty much perfect. It's been a game changer.
