I bought this to use as a lunch cooler. It is large enough to hold a few beverages, my salad, dressing, and snacks for the day plus an ice pack. I haven't had to use an ice pack yet, so I don't know how well it keeps things cool. I just use it to carry food to work to put in the fridge. And there is a pocket on the front to stash my fork and napkins. It's probably too large for a normal lunch bag, but I have Celiac disease and have to take my food for the day everywhere I go.
